TF Position Manager for MT5
Preview a risk-sized market order from a chosen stop, then explicitly confirm it on a demo account. Real-account order operations are disabled.
MQL5 source, EX5, README and SHA-256 checksums. Research beta.

A management or logging tool, not a standalone return-generating strategy. Functionality is assessed through acceptance checks, not a profitability curve.
How this utility is used
- Preview a risk-sized market order from a chosen stop.
- Review buy/sell, then explicitly confirm within ten seconds.
- Real-account order operations are disabled; EnableDemoOrders defaults false.
What this MT5 EA does
- Uses OrderCalcProfit in account currency, an editable commission estimate and broker volume steps.
- Two-step Review Buy / Review Sell and Confirm Demo controls; ten-second confirmation expiry.
- Checks spread, stop placement, available margin and a cooperating Account Risk Guard pause signal.
- Refuses to merge a new order into an existing netting position on the same symbol.

Limitations and failure conditions
- EnableDemoOrders is false by default; StopPrice must be set. Market fills and gaps can exceed estimated stop risk.
- Commission is an input, not a broker fee lookup. Slippage is not included in the displayed risk estimate.
- The order is recalculated at confirmation; a movement beyond ten platform points requires a new review.
- The EA must be removed and reattached after changing accounts. No live-account execution is supported.
Install in MetaTrader 5
- Extract the ZIP and read its README before attaching any file.
- In MT5, choose File → Open Data Folder. Copy the MQ5, EX5 and TFCommon.mqh files together into MQL5/Experts/TradeForex.
- Refresh Navigator and attach the EA to a chart in an isolated demo or tester. Review its inputs and data requirements.
- Use one instance per chart. Reattach after changing accounts; retain the documented state files and settings when testing restarts.
No broker password, web API key or DLL permission is required by this package.
Acceptance checks before relying on it
Native functional checks cover the recorded subset. The checklist below also includes cases that still require your own demo validation; not every scenario is certified as passed.
- With demo orders disabled, verify that review and confirmation send no orders.
- Compare the preview against MT5 profit and margin calculations for a small FX and a CFD example.
- On an isolated demo, inspect buy and sell stops, volume rounding, wrong-side stops, a spread rejection and confirmation expiry.
- Verify rejection when a net position already exists and while the matching guard pause signal is active.

Frequently asked questions
Does this tool work in MT4?
No. This package contains MQL5 source and an EX5 build for MetaTrader 5 desktop. MT4 requires a different codebase; mobile and web charts do not run this desktop file.
What has been tested?
The updated research build compiled with zero errors and zero warnings and passed the documented native functional acceptance checks. Netting and prolonged forward operation remain unverified. No profitability result is assigned to a management or logging utility.
Can it trade on a live account?
Order-changing functions in this release refuse real accounts and are disabled by default. Use an isolated demo or the Strategy Tester. The Execution Logger only records events and never sends orders.
