TF Execution Logger for MT5
Write new MT5 deal events to a local CSV with fills, volume, fees and event-time quotes. The logger never sends or modifies orders.
MQL5 source, EX5, README and SHA-256 checksums. Research beta.

A management or logging tool, not a standalone return-generating strategy. Functionality is assessed through acceptance checks, not a profitability curve.
How this utility is used
- Appends new deal events to MQL5/Files/TFExecution_ACCOUNTNUMBER.csv.
- Default filter records only MagicFilter; IncludeAllMagicNumbers explicitly broadens capture.
- Records deal/order IDs, server time, symbol, entry, side, magic, volume, fill, fees, profit and event-time quote snapshot.
What this MT5 EA does
- Appends new deal events to MQL5/Files/TFExecution_ACCOUNTNUMBER.csv.
- Default filter includes only magic number 260916; an explicit setting can include all magic numbers.
- Records deal and order IDs, server time, symbol, entry type, side, volume, price, commission, swap and profit.
- Includes a quote snapshot at event handling time and flushes each recorded row to disk.

Limitations and failure conditions
- It does not reconstruct past events or events missed while the EA was stopped.
- Event-time bid/ask values are not the requested order price and cannot by themselves measure slippage or execution latency.
- Late statement adjustments, separately posted charges or later modifications may not be reflected in the original row.
- The CSV contains private trading records and an account number; keep it local and redact before sharing.
- Reattach after an account change. Only one logger should write a given account file.
Install in MetaTrader 5
- Extract the ZIP and read its README before attaching any file.
- In MT5, choose File → Open Data Folder. Copy the MQ5, EX5 and TFCommon.mqh files together into MQL5/Experts/TradeForex.
- Refresh Navigator and attach the EA to a chart in an isolated demo or tester. Review its inputs and data requirements.
- Use one instance per chart. Reattach after changing accounts; retain the documented state files and settings when testing restarts.
No broker password, web API key or DLL permission is required by this package.
Acceptance checks before relying on it
Native functional checks cover the recorded subset. The checklist below also includes cases that still require your own demo validation; not every scenario is certified as passed.
- Place, partially close and close disposable demo positions and compare CSV rows with account history.
- Verify magic filtering, file append after restart and account-switch behaviour.
- Check comma-delimited CSV import and confirm the tool performs no order operations.

Frequently asked questions
Does this tool work in MT4?
No. This package contains MQL5 source and an EX5 build for MetaTrader 5 desktop. MT4 requires a different codebase; mobile and web charts do not run this desktop file.
What has been tested?
The updated research build compiled with zero errors and zero warnings and passed the documented native functional acceptance checks. Netting and prolonged forward operation remain unverified. No profitability result is assigned to a management or logging utility.
Can it trade on a live account?
Order-changing functions in this release refuse real accounts and are disabled by default. Use an isolated demo or the Strategy Tester. The Execution Logger only records events and never sends orders.
